“I stumbled on this book b/c I'm on this thing called TwitterLit that gives you the first sentence of a random book every day. Here's this one: "Daddy killed Mama today, just like he told her he would"
Overall, it's a pretty depressing story of familial cycles of abuse. I think the purpose of the book is to give a victimized child or young adult a similar story to help them deal with their own trauma. If you don't want to hear about poor Annie gettin' beat on by her Gramma, I'd avoid.”
