"An avid reader". :)

I enjoy fantasy, speculative fiction (esp post-apocalyptic), scifi, young adult, and a wide swatch of nonfiction.

I'm always interested in a book recommendation!

    DOC-209

A little about myself:My profile pic is the new ED-209 concept for the new Robocop remake coming 2013 (courtsey of Omnicorp: We have the future under control.) As for books, I am a big fan of alternate history or 'counter factual' history, especially works by Harry Turtledove (my favorite...

    Mockingjay

Phew. Pretty epic ending to this trilogy. The main character is often selfish and weak in this one, but there's a twist to the love story and the last few chapters are pure power. Excellent book!

Really enjoyed this second book of the Hunger Games trilogy. This spot is usually a tenuous place for a book to have to hold, since often the tension will lag or the characters and plot feel stale. Somehow, despite literally reusing the central conflict from the first book, Collins manages to avoid a boring second installment. There's enough variety of setting, just as much tension in pacing, and especially, enough change in character, to give this novel oomph. It had me gasping as much as the first book and left me eagerly waiting to crack into the third.
