I am an avid reader(obviously) and have described myself as a book whore on more than one occasion. I have also worked in bookstores for about a decade of time...both in a fantastic Indie store in Southern California-Small World Books www.smallwordlbooks.com and at a chain bookstore .
I have a range of interest as far as reading goes:...more »

I saw a woman on a cruise ship reading the second book in this series, I asked her what it was and she told me a bit about it. I picked up Twilight and I read it in a day, I really enjoyed it. I cant wait to read the next one . I am very interested to see which direction Stephenie Meyer takes this series.

    This is a must read.
Entertaining, thoughtful , witty and even insightful, its a story that any comic book fan can enjoy. Its the story of a young man who is the son of two superheroes and his struggles as he comes to grips with his burgeoning powers and
his acceptance of the fact that he is gay. One does not have to be gay to enjoy this story(it certainly helps though, and makes it more enjoyable on an additional level) as it is a story of feeling left out or not fitting in...a theme that many gay people, young and old, and comic book kids or sci fi/fantasy kids feel.

This is such a great book, it is a re-read as well. Paul Cornell introduces us to one of the greatest Heroines in sci/fi who has lived and grown well beyond her meager beginnings as one of the Doctor's companions.

I just can't say anything other than this is an absolutely marvelous book. It is tight and expertly written, there is nothing in this book that does not need to be here. I have read this book over and over again and always recommend it to people. John Irving brings such a great cast of characters to life in this book, you look at them as if they really truly are flesh and blood, not just ideas on paper. If you havent read it, it's a must. If you only have read it once, it's a re-read you don't want to miss.

I , unlike many people, did not read this in highschool. I read it on my own in college and loved it. It is one of those books that I take our and read every couple of years.

Reparman Jack is one of the most interesting and refreshing fictional characters in a long time. I picked this book up by accident one day and devoured it and the whole series. I eagerly await each new volume.
    Certainly worth the read!

This ranks as one of my favorite sci fi books of all times, a take on the canterbury tales with a sci fi twist. My only complaint I had upon finishing this book was that I was on vacation and not near a bookstore so I could not purchase the second volume.Dan Simmons has a fantastic way with words.
