This isn't a complete collection of my books, as a lot are still in storage, and I tend to update this site last over the other two. But it's a good chunk of them at least. more »

Great little CSS reference book, don't know how I ever lived without it.

Extremely moving and very realistic - you actually feel as though you're right there in the concentration camp. Highly recommended!

A very dark, yet somehow lifechanging book. I read this whilst in uni studying English Lit, it certainly made a lasting impression.

A brilliant first novel, though surprisingly for a series this large, they only seem to get better as you go along. It reads almost like a detective novel, only with supernatural elements. There is some clumsiness in the text though, some things are drawn out way too much toward the beginning of the book.

Although a real page turner (eventually), this first novel in the series is really only setting the scene, it gets way, way better from here on in!

Kind of a trashy read, but really enjoyable. Slightly more on the romantic side than I'd like though, and I think there are are better 'urban fantasy' books out there (the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs for example.

Still, it was a page turner and kept me hooked, hence the 4 stars. No doubt will be reading the next in the series soon.

My favourite Dickens book, I could read this over and over. It has so much depth, and fantastic memorable characters. Pure genius.

I did enjoy this book, but I also found it a little hard going at times. Something is definitely lost in translation - there are frequent grammar mistakes and the dialogue can come across as very false. The ending disappointed me too, I just didn't get a sense of closure from it, though I realise this is the first in a trilogy.

All of this aside, the premise is a good one and I did enjoy the storyline, I was just a little disappointed with the construction. I liked it enough to want to read the second book though.
