Thanks. I'll check out those books as soon as I'm done with the 800-pp Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. Hahaha. Happy Christmas. :)
I checked Hugh Laurie's The Gun Seller. It is funny. Haha. I've been seeing copies of I Am America (And So Can You!). Do you think it's good?

I lived in St.Louis--twice. Eight years ago and then again, last year. Are you a member of the St. Louis Writer's Guild? I am, and spoke at their group back in June about my book/publishing journey. I know Kirkwood well. This last time, we bought a loft downtown, but then I missed my ocean. Nice to meet you. ~Carol www.mothering-mother.com
hmmm....thats kinda cute.but may i recommend the thornbirds?n hv u read gone with the wind??
hmmm...that makes my task a tad difficult....the book is a saga of family that moves to australia in the early part of the 19th century and follows the realtionship of the daughter with a priest.the theme is based on the thornbird-according to celtic legend its a bird that continues to sing despite the thorn stuck in its breast believing its song to be the most beautiful in the world.i quote "At the very instant the thorn enters there is no awareness in it of the dying to come;it simply sings and sings until there is not the life to utter another note. But we,when we put the thorns in our breasts,we know.We understand. And still we do it.Still we do it."What do you think of that....for me those lines are very relevant...in more ways than one........anyway your turn now.
