not sure if 1000 spendid suns will capture your interest. the story is compelling with Islamic morals and historical backdrop. if you are interested in afghanistan it's a must.

    hi bookwurm,
me not sure whether u'll like eragorn or not. have checked out ur choice in books n think that u like more girly n happy endings kind of books n this is serious fantasy n got more guy thing going in the book. so wud like to say pass it up but if u really into good stories then go for it regardless of the seriousness,tc

    Hi Bookwurm,
I must say that I like 'Mitchie' a lot better than 'bookwurm', but maybe the latter is quite appropriate?
Anyway, in case you've done so yet: start reading 'A thousand splendid suns'; I'm sure you'll like it!
    Cheers

Read it since it reveals how women are treated in other countries. Great insight into the headlines of today. It will move you so you never forget sections of it.

By all means, read Eragon. The movie dosen't do it justice unfortunately, but I still enjoyed it. Book 2, Eldest, is a lot more wordy and I'm halfway through Brisingr, Book 3, which is so far excellent. And there's a fourth book in the works!

if you haven't started Kite runner n planning to read Thousand splendid suns too, better go for Thousand Splendid Suns first.. cuz Kite runner is too good.. n people start expecting too much from the other book.. which results in disappointment even though thousand splendid suns is a good book...

but must say, Kite Runner is a must read..
