Hello Yvette, I posted some comments on some books that you HATE --specifically, Baby Wise and Secrets of a Baby Whisperer. I was hoping to find some of the books you LOVE for parenting infants and raising children but the highly rated books on your shelf having to do with the subject have no opinions. I would love to hear what books have been the most beneficial reads for you on the subject.

I thought you might be interested in a contest. It’s wacky, creative and ‘killer’ fun. ‘Create a Corpse’ Contest lets you name a character in my suspense novel Divine Justice. Of course, you guessed it—the character dies

For contest details, just scroll over the following URL, copy and paste into your browser. This is a great contest for avid readers who’d like to be part of the process. I look forward to receiving your entries. :)

As part of my month-long virtual book tour, today's special treat is an excerpt from my new bestseller Whale Song, a novel that will change the way you view life...and death.

So drop by my host site, sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the prologue and first chapter.

    I ONCE FEARED death.
It is said that death begins with the absence of life. And life begins when death is no longer feared. I have stared death in the face and survived. A survivor who has learned about unfailing love and forgiveness. I realize now that I am but a tiny fragment in an endless ocean of life, just as a killer whale is a speck in her immense underwater domain...

    Read the excerpt.

Yes, we do share a lot of books. As for the black cat, it is my first, and I adore her. Always was a dog person and have now succumbed to the charms and intellect of the felines.
You little minx, getting to meet Marian Keyes - LOVE HER!!! One of my sister's best friends lives in Melbourne. My sister passed away a few months ago and I fear I will never see her friend Nafflie again, so I've invited her to join Shelfari, so keep a look out for her too!

To August 12th then! lol I hope you'll consider entering my contest. I love to give away prizes to people I know...well, kind of...hehe

I'll have to ask my mother when my due date was. I know I was borderline premature. (I always was impatient and itching to get going somewhere! :)

Hi Yvette, Are you done re-reading Harry Potter ? How and when was your meeting with Marian Keyes ? I always find it interesting to meet authors that I have read... So far I have not been disappointed too many times. How about you ?

    Hello Yvette,
Nice to hear from you ! I have a friend who just got back from a 5 months trip down under. I got regular pictures thanks to the Internet and it looks absolutely wonderful. I am planning to go in the next few years when my better half retires. He's much older than I (ha,ha,ha,). I'm 48 and he's 62 but he acts like a 2 years old most of the time.

I have the finish the last Harry Potter book before the other one comes out. Work has kept me from doing all the reading I wanted but I'm off for a while so I plan to catch on my reading.
Funny you mentioned the Olympics. My parents live across the street from the Stadium and eventhough I was only 18, I worked there as an interpreter for the athletes and V.I.P. as I spoke 5 languages.
If you plan on visiting Montreal some day, I would recommend summer time. It's really pretty and lots of Festivals.
    Have a nice day !

Hi, I was just reading your profile and looking at your shelf.. I found it interesting. I saw in your Wish List that you had the Undomestic Goddess from Sophie Kinsella. I really enjoyed that eventhough it's a stand alone. I recently read Shopaholic and Baby that is also cute if you enjoyed the other ones in that serie. What are you reading now ?
