I love books, dogs, travel (although I am currently in nursing school and travel is hard), I like to make jewelry and listen to all types of music. I am open to reading almost anything and don't know how I would live without bookstores and libraries

Congratulations on passing your test. Yes, it is a wonderful feeling to know you dont have to study any more. People ask me a lot if I'm going to go on and the first thing I think of is that I wouldnt have time for the things I enjoy doing if I had to do all that studying. Hope you find a great job.

What was the necklace about? When I was 11years old we had to write a story and I wrote about a necklace coming through the generations to our time then and the story told who the necklace belonged to and what happened in their life and how the necklace came into the hands of the next owner and so on. My teacher said it was very ambitious.

Congratulations! Think of all the reading without guilt you can do now!! And most importantly, all the attention you can pay to Yuki!!

We've moved to Florida and the girls are adjusting pretty well. They have better windows to look out of than back in Connecticut, lower window sills. When we first got here we let them go out on the lanai. However, there are little tiny lizards out there that the girls thought were fun to play with, so we had to put an end to that.

My DH is building bookshelves for me, so almost all my books are still in boxes. It's driving me crazy as you can imagine. Most of them have been packed since May or June. Oh well, it's a good excuse to buy more books!

I had to respond when I saw the picture of your adorable Westie. I have a nine year old Westie and had had two others. I work in a library for 28 years and highly recommend The Space Between Us by Thrity Umregar.

I notice that you are also reading "My Stroke of Insight." Where are you in the book? I recently saw Dr. Taylor speak at the Texas Council of Mental Health and Mental Retardation seminar. She was awesome!!! How do you like her book?

    Eclectic Book Club Peeps:

All righty, let's have those nominations for our next big read. What's everyone in the mood for?

Post your selections in the "Genres" thread and we'll hash it out. If that takes too much energy, I will put all genres nominated in a hat and pick one at random!

PS. Yuki -- that is SUCH an excellent doggy ipc -- makes me smile every time I see it! = D
