Hi Sarah...I identified with your profile as I was also one of those kids who checked out as many books as I could....then during college years my reading slacked off...resurfaced again once I entered the working world...went to new levels when I had children (I got to go to the library and watch them check out as many books as they could!)..and now I read for pleasure..though no chick lit for me eithertake care...let me know if you find a book that actually deserves to be a classic...latest one I thought was worthy was "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"
