“I saw the film, and it caught my interest. But unfortunately I'll have to say the book did not impress me. That is saying something, since I hardly ever prefer the film to the book it's based on!
However, after reading 1/3, I've given up on this book; I don't feel any interest in continuing, and I'm completely unmoved by the characters, that all seem shallow to me. Their very short discussions about the Austen books ar of no interest to me. Sadly, because I had high expectations! Maybe they were just too high.”
