This is my "You Must Read This" list for software engineering.

Each of the text listed here are highly recommended, because they contain relevant infomation and communicate complex principles in a concise and/or memorable way. Each one should have a comment attached describing what particular elements note attention.

While primarily focused on direct software engineering texts such as the principles of OOD or learning a new language, there are also more general books describing related issues that have impact on the software world, such as time management. « less
