good book, well written. the subjects discussed through the eyes of a young woman are very close to my own view of life. though at some points i can disagree, the novel taken entirely puts the most touching themes from a woman's life - love, sexuality, depression, writing career, suicide - in an emotional way.

Considering the fact that I am completely obsessed with the movie which I seen more than 20 times, the book was a big dissapointment. Fincher transformed the idea of the movie in something much more profound cumulating some important quotes and plans from the book, and making a far much better job. The book, as a debut, could be okay, but I express exclusively the dissapointment of finding something not very well-tied, in the main thing, but the close-to-perfection movie thanks to a director work.

Far better than I ever expected! And a very promising debut! I'm not sure about the 'contra-literature' term, but I see some ideas ment to show resistance to the extremely nocive contemporan society. However, the freaks are the combination of what this post-post civilisation will not understand very soon. dreams, fears, wishes, not afraid to be shown up, and many more. I'm looking forward to reading some other texts by mr Goebel.

This was outstanding! Codrescu's 600 pages dadaistic masterpiece reflects with irony a world in which technology and media make religion look...surrealistic! The mixture between different cults, the excentrism, everything in it is very well planned, very well written and composed. Fascinating enough,it has a character named Andrea (as my name, fact that i really enjoyed) that ,together with Felicity and some other gang will sent a corrupt priest , Mullin , to a point that the only thing that he could make was to stop his planned end of the world. But nothing more said here, enough spoilers. Its extraordinary.

I must say I'm not into Marquez's magical realism and this being the first read of Llosa I must admit I LOVE IT! Ricardo its the perfect man that any woman will want for herself. But I want to say that the view of the author of forever-love is the gratest way for my taste.Thats why I hated Love in the of Cholera, cause I thought that character was not so profound as he claimed to be,having all those woman denaturating the child-sice love. I wanted to rate the book with 4 for the erotism in it and because I thought that The Bad Girl will not return to Ricardo, but this was kind of great story afterall. So profound feelings, its everything we need..
