“An excellent book that drags the reader though war torn Europe with the family. Written from the childs perspective, it beautifully captures the innocence of youth, the things which are important to a nine year old, and the sense that the world is changing around them with Anna and her brother powerless in the middle, with parents who are trying to retain a level of normality. A beautiful book.”
