So, I love all sort of books but... there's a preference for those written in my first language (beautiful spanish!!)
My favorite authors are Isabel Allende, Mario Vargas Llosa and Julia Alvarez

I definitely LOVE those that are fiction but are based on a history fact (like: La Fiesta del Chivo, The Borgia Bride, The other Boleyn Girl) specially if they are about Tudor history.

But I also love funny books like Meg Cabot's or Laurie Notaro's and young adult literature in general. « less
