    God of the razor

    by Joe R. Lansdale

All the stories,& the novel (theNIGHTRUNNERS) about Joe R. Lansdale's most frightening creation are here. I remember being profoundly impressed the first time I read these. Emotionally jarring & moodily creepy, if you enjoy Horror or Dark Fantasy, this collection is essential.

If you are interested in Chinese Literature which mixes Confucian Moralism with Lurid Tales of Adultery & Murder, this one's for you! PLUS, unlike CSI, THIS officer of the law uses Torture, and Necromancy to bring the bad guys to Justice!

One of the few non-Robert E. Howard Conan books worth a read. Wagner's own KANE novels are better, as is his BRAN MAK MORN novel. But he has the blood & thunder plus some of the melancholia that Howards originals embodied so inimitably.

The best edition of Poe available. Tho' not complete, it features the earliest printed versions of the tales & they tend to have more of everything! More insanity, more gritty realism, more drugs, more sex & more verbiage!
