Believe the hype. This is one of the most popular novels of all time for a reason -- it's beautifully written in an entertaining way that is still fresh 200 years later. Even if you've read other Austen books and found them wordy or difficult to get through, this one I think is a bit more accessible to anyone. I just finished re-reading it, and was quite sorry to get to the end.

I know everyone loves this book, which is why I picked it up, but I couldn't get going with it. It goes back and forth between two stories, one contemporary and one sort of like a fable. This technique didn't bother me, but I found that I liked the contemporary story so much more that I dreaded when one of the fable chapters came up. I persevered to about halfway, because I thought this stuff probably all gets tied up together at the end, and the payoff is going to be worth it -- but it just didn't hold my interest enough to keep going. Maybe I'll finish it someday.

This one might be very slightly funnier than Superstud, but they're both laugh-out-loud hilarious. I've read this book twice, and it makes me laugh until tears are running down my face. I sort of can't wait until the next time I'm ready to read it.

I have read this book twice now and both times it has made me laugh out loud, so much that a couple of times I had to put the book down.

Makes learning to knit very easy and very quick. Helped me learn even after previous attempts had failed, and I still refer to this book more than any when I want to learn or re-learn a particular technique. It's my go-to reference for knitting.
