I love books. They're a way to suck out any terrible things you're feeling and replace them with new places, people, and ideas. I hate people. I love to write. I love pudding. I LOVE ice cream. I love Johnny Depp. I love summer camp. Basically, I love lots of things.

The amazing cover lead me to read this book. And I can definitely say I wasn't disappointed in the least. This book was a satisfaction for me in many ways - the writing style especially, got me hooked on.

Imaginary Girls is different, unique even, and I loved it for the amazing writing style, the cover, and well - Ruby. Ruby is Chloe's everything - not just her big sister, but someone who loves more her than anything on earth, someone who'd give up everything just to see her happy. That's what Ruby is to her younger sister, Chloe.
It is an amazing, powerful tale about the bonding between these two sisters - one that speaks of sacrifice and love. Imaginary Girls wouldn't be something you'd expect it to be, because there are paranormal instances to it. I'd definitely not like to reveal anything about it here. ;)

Nova Ren Suma's writing style never bores you. In fact, I kept reading just to know how the next line would be phrased. Now Suma is one author whose upcoming books I'd be waiting on.

Ruby. I don't think I'd ever forget her. But I also wish Chloe would have had a personality of her own, instead of Ruby's personality influencing her. Chloe is Ruby's shadow, and she knows it too. Ruby is someone Chloe would be lost without.

And the end part. It left me kinda.. I don't know exactly. I still can't decide if I liked the end or not. It sure left me hanging.. and kind of satisfied too. Why it was that way, I don't really know.

Imaginary Girls was an interesting, different, and intense read. I loved it. A definite recommend to people who'd like a tale of.. paranormalcy and emotions in an equal blend.

Step back in time to the 1960s and enjoy life with the Bedloe family, their friends, and neighbors. All her characters are so well-defined that they seem real or like people you may know now. And you should become acquainted because this book will provide hours of excellent reading.

    Native Son

Brilliant! Compelling! Strong, powerful writing...you can feel Bigger's pain...immerses you in the story so much that you could jump right into the book. One of the most thought-provoking books I've ever read on this topic, which sadly is still with us today.

Summary: Elizabeth Gilbert has the American dream—a New York City apartment, a country home, gorgeous husband and work she adores. But happiness eludes her. In fact, Ms. Gilbert has fallen into an abysmal black hole. On her route to recovery, she eats her way through Italy, meditates in India and becomes the student of a Balinese medicine man. Joining Liz in her quest for self-discovery, readers are certain to find a well-traveled trail that could lead to their own personal fulfillment

Opinion: Every adjective for wonderful describes this unique travelogue. And all human beings have experienced one, if not several emotions the author so beautifully conveys. Elizabeth Gilbert’s magical journey will intoxicate your TASTE buds, TOUCH your heart, SEE a garden silvered by moonlight, HEAR the cacophony of Balinese traffic. One of the best things about this book is that each word rings true—you may never get to physically visit these exotic locales but it certainly FEELS as though you have.

If you love mysteries & laughing read Harlan Coben...just finished The Final Detail featuring Myron Bolitar (Coben's series). The former basketball player turned sports agent once again finds himself embroiled in a mystery. This time his business partner, Esperanza, is accused of murdering one of their clients. But Esperanza isn't talking. Neither is her lawyer. To prove his friend's innocence, Myron must trace the rise and fall of the victim, a pitcher who'd been making a comeback with the Yankees. I was laughing out loud throughout the book. I definitely recommend reading Coben, if not his Bolitar series, then any of his books...I promise you'll have a good time.
