I pray that my writings could open the eyes of the new generation about the realities of peace development initiatives in Nigeria, and direct them to the possibility of its attainability.
I pray that we can be able to invest essential sums to assemble existing peace literary resources from fellow writers in the country for the education of the future generation,
I have been trying to use my link with the Association of Nigerian Writers, in generating and encouraging new writers through providing grants, information and technical support, because I believe that could have an extremely advantageous and high payoff in the study of peace initiative geared in the solution of conflict prone society in the country.
The research writings such as these seen in this book can help to disseminate the essential of peace literature in education; such could fulfill some important need in peace culture for the unity of African countries, especially when every debating question leaves space for others to comment, seeing it as a collective efforts’ rather that an individual experience
I am adding to this book, links that may help the young writer get published and have his work critiqued; most of these links and addresses of literary Peace Studies and other writings could help you promote your works in the publication of periodical journals of peace literature research, and your original creative works.

Most of the works in this book, were first published in Dialogue; a journal of culture, I am currently its African representative, the journals foster and disseminate the developments made in literary peace studies and cultural norms’ and publish new creative works of importance in the field of arts.

Today it is important that the award of prizes or grants continues, because it help to engage the conscious writers of excellence and this has lead to key contributions in Nigeria literature studies.
The writers consciousness are the consciousness of a nation and that perception of that which affects us most in our daily lives is necessarily expressed through their art, because it effect them more. In the Inner Death: A poet Destructive Stress I try to draw the effect of such writings on the poets
It is unreasonable to assume that the contemporary African poet or writer should confine himself to write about the beauty of the endless African plains, the wealth of culture, without remembering and recording his awesome fears of the genocide, religions upheaval and ethic clashed suddenly resurfacing as always around him,
I write of love, of deep erotica poetry when the need arises, but I cannot do that in all my writings without expressing haunting fears for my beloved wife, brothers, village kids, all I have come to love in an insecure land constantly threatened by the evils of illiteracy, hunger and strife, fiend and war.
I could be untrue to myself if I write of such beauty alone and deny the truth of what lay before me; an Africa running helter-skelta down a hill, like a Lagos Molue without a break on
We cannot just start to write only for art's sake, we have to consider society; the peace of our society is in our hands, as well as for whole of civilization

Widow Traci Evans sits in on meetings with the lovely ladies of the Invincible Sisterhood because for a little while she can feel as if she belongs. The members are all sweet older women who have lost their husbands, but not their passion for life. However, unlike the other women in the Sisterhood, Traci's husband died while cheating on her. Full-figured, sassy and successful, Traci has no intention of letting a man make a fool of her again, not even if he begged - but that was before a playful kiss turned hot and irresistible. Maureen, Traci's next door neighbor and best friend, organized the Invincible Sisterhood after losing her husband. Unlike Traci, Maureen misses the intimacy, the connection with a man. She thinks she might have found a perfect candidate - until she learns he is ten years younger and she starts having hot flashes.

Watercolored Pearls (Revell Books; October 1, 2007; $12.99; 288 pages; ISBN: 0800731689) is the third in a series of novels by Stacy Hawkins Adams that will resonate with mothers, young professionals, and women struggling with self-esteem and matters of faith.

Serena, a career woman turned stay-at-home mom, wonders if she has made the right choice to now manage twin two-year-old boys and be a supportive wife to her husband who is the pastor of a newly created church in Richmond, Virginia. She struggles with the daily stresses of being a perfect mom and wife to the outside world while inside she feels torn that maybe she didn’t choose the right path.

Erika struggles to let go of her abusive past. While her estranged husband of two years sends her cards begging her to come back, she is torn between her so-called “reformed” husband and a new man who is everything she has ever wanted in a man. She wants to do what is best for her young son, which she feels is to go back to her husband and be a true family. But, her heart is torn.

Tawana, a new lawyer, is trying to pull her life together, but her ambitions keep getting in the way. In her final year at Harvard Law School, she is 23-years-old and a single mother to a very “wise beyond her years” daughter. She still longs to date, but wants to focus on her career; but she is also torn to spend time with her impressionable daughter.

Three women, each at different places in their lives, find themselves at the same crossroads—looking to God and to each other for answers on how to find beauty in themselves and in their life’s journey. Watercolored Pearls is a page-turning story of how God can use the tragic, the shameful, and the less-than-perfect circumstances of life to create something beautiful.

I hope you’ll consider a timely review or feature story about this exciting new novel. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for further information about author Stacy Hawkins Adams or Watercolored Pearls—A Novel.
