I am a stay at home mom to my 5-year-old son, and I've been happily married for 11 years. I love to read and write. I have a wide range of books that I like as you can probably see. Also, I have a reading group online for people who love suspense fiction...come check it out! Here's the link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chillingreads... more »

With a profile name like writergal16, I'm sure you do your fair share of reading and writing. I was wondering if you could checkout my new website for me. I am a writer also and I enjoy good books, but with school and family sometimes it hard for me to finish a novel, that's why I came up Rapture of Worlds. It's a series of easy-to-read short stories. It's a pay site but episodes are inexpensive let me know what you think.

I'm seeing my daughter tomorrow and hopefully she'll bring me her copy of The Host so I can read it.

I DID have a great day....hope you did too :o) You know I've actually never read Louisa May Alcott. Shocking, huh?? Sorry you couldn't get in to She Walks These Hills....it was pretty good once I got into it. Still deciding if I should attempt The Host. Doesn't sound like many in our group have liked it. My daughter has it. May send her a message in a bit and see if she'll let me borrow it.

Hi. Sorry it's been awhile is I last wrote. I've been very busy of late. I understand with you deleting the group; it's a lot of work. Maybe in the future you can start another one.

Seen any good movies lately? I haven't been in several weeks which is a big surprise. I've been doing more reading. Can't exactly sit outside at the moment due to the rain.....but I love to curl up under the blanket and drinking hot chocolate and reading :) Have a wonderful weekend and chat with you later. BTW, what are you reading at the moment? I'm reading several books: How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accent, Forest of Hands and Teeth and The Witch of Portobello.

OK. Could NOT get into To Say Nothing of the Dog! I don't know what it was, but my mind just kept drifting off while I was reading it, which is not a good sign. So I returned it back to the library and picked up City of Ashes, the second book in the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I'm really liking this trilogy! Easy read.

Hi WriterGal, Things are good, though I'm failling in my attempt to read 50 books this year! I'm only on #15 and I start grad school in the fall, and I doubt I'll make it to 50 by then. Once I'm in school my time will likely be taken up with other reading. Hope you are well!

We're good, thanks! How was your Easter?? I just got notice today that the copy of To Say Nothing of the Dog is ready for me to pick up at the library so I'm going to give it a try. Since I've already read Turning Angel (and loved it) I figured I could try something new and still be able to participate in the Turning Angel discussions when those come up. The group is great! My only complaint is Yahoo Group's layout for discussion. I wish it were more like the shelfari groups' layouts so you can see everyone's answers just by scrolling, but it is what it is!

I'm very glad you like it! I so appreciate my husband grabbing a few every time he's overseas. Makes them just that much more special! Are you enjoying the group so far?
