    Hey Chris -

You had mentioned a while back that you would be interested in participating in a group read in the History-Fiction group. I'm just getting ready to choose the first book... could you please stop by this weekend and cast your ballot? I have a number of books listed for you to choose from. Thanks!

    Hi Chris,
I received a note via Shelfari email that you submitted a friendship request to me. But oddly, when I go to my home page, it doesn't appear there. Just wanted to welcome you to Play Book Tag and ask you to resubmit the friend request! I hope you'll be able to join us in reading for May's tag. It will be announced on May 1st. Right now, we are finishing up "Fantasy" for April. Please feel free to chime in on the discussions at any time!

Good morning, Chris. Where was the photo in your avatar taken? Beautiful place. Reminds me of parts of Scotland. All the best to you in your post-Army career. Jim

Thanks for inviting me as a friend. I also enjoy military history. Just watched again the Battle of Trafalgar, Nelson's victory over the Napoleon fleet in the movie about Hamilton and Nelson. I was sad they did not discuss his strategy more in the movie.

Just a reminder that there will be a group read of Sharpe's Tiger by Bernard Cornwell in the Greenjackets' Inn. If you want to join in, let us know in the Groups Read thread.

Chris, without a doubt Nigel Tranter was one of the best. It was his series on Scottish history that got me hooked on the Historical Fiction genre. My local library only had a few of his novels in and now they have the whole suite.
