I am originally from Michigan but now reside in Tennessee. Having served in the US Army for several years I really enjoy reading Military History books, both fiction and non-fiction. I like all eras of military history from the dark ages through modern times on into what the future might hold. Still, I do try to read other books from... more »

Chris, check out "From Private to General" by Jerry Curry. I served with him in Korea many years ago. He's a great American Patriot and hero and I think you will enjoy reading his story. I was the crew chief he refers to while he was stationed in Korea. Enjoy and READ ON...

I saw your discussion reply in the book thief and was wondering if you could help me with a question I am stuck on. Compare and contrast the lives of Liesel and Max Vandenburg. How does Max's life give Liesel purpose?

Chris hi, I've come across a story that is so exeptional I had to write you about it. It's titled "Nathan's Run" by John Gilstrap and I think you will find it as moving and inspiring as I did. While a fictional account it is an emotional coming-of-age journey that will pull at your heartstrings and give you pause to think about the power of the human spirit. Enjoy and READ ON...

Glad to here from you ! I understand about the job, hope it is a good one, and one that you semi - enjoy, lol. I have had little time for Shelfari also, have been working way to many hours for what is supposed to be part time training & consulting. Also my daughter has just come home from a 32 day hospital stay, most of which was in intensive care. So I understand the busy. Take care.

Chris, I added "Lone Survivor" by Marcus Lutrell to my plan to read list. A friend who has read it told me it's a great true story of sacrifice and hardship in the battle zone so thought I would pass it on to you. Enjoy and READ ON...

Hi Chris, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I'm without a computer at the moment so there's not much I can do, but hopefully I will be back online in about 10 days. If you still have the same problem I'll see what I can do then. The worst that can happen is that you have to reregister under a slightly different name. But hopefully the admins will come up with a good solution.
