Due to the heavy amount of reading I did for college classes and in my training, I suffered a reading burn out from which I’ve only recently recovered. I’m rediscovering how refreshing reading can be when I don’t have the specter of a paper, exam, or job termination hanging over my head while I read. It may be a while before my recreational reading takes up as much shelf space as the books I read in pursuit of my bachelor’s degree, but I’m looking forward to the journey. I think Calvin, the title character in one of my favorite comic strips, put it best: “It’s a magical world, Hobbes ol’ buddy…let’s go exploring!” « less
