Hi Mr. Krebs! Did you see the note in today's Buffalo News neXt section about the book "Peeled," by Joan Bauer? Here's the link: http://www.buffalonews.com/lifearts/next/story/362222.html
The book is about a high school reporter who starts an underground newspaper! I've put it on my Shelfari "plan to read" list & just recommended it to Mrs. Meaney, too.

i believe Hamlet may have insulted Ophelia for several reasons. He may have used to the opprtunity to manipulate someone to feel badly when his own life circumstances felt very out of his control, which many teens still do in one form or another today. Also, the built-up negative feelings towards his mother, step-father, Polonius, Guildensturm, Rosencrantz, and his father's call to kill Claudius could have all been taken out on Ophelia, an easy victim. Lastly, Hamlet may have been alienating Ophelia for he knew that he may be soon marked as a murderer, and distancing her might protect her feelings some amount.
