Hey Holbrook! I hope you are enjoying the nasty weather we are having to stay in and read! I love that you are reading SVH. I hold those near and dear to my heart.
You read similar books as me. And it's always nice to meet fellow readers.
Where is Craig Thompson's Blankets and Francesca Lia Block's Witch Baby? Get back to those stacks and look them up.
I wanted you to love Beth Cooper...
Being a Laurie Notaro fan, I was wondering what you thought of her latest book. I couldn't put it down! Extremely funny! Particuarly the "Extended Warrenty...." chapter! Ranks up there with one her best!
Hi there :)Thank you for accepting my friendship :D
Brian,Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I'm really glad you are enjoying the books. Black Out will not feature Ridley, but hopefully you will find it as intriguing. All the best! L
Hi from a fellow librarian. I found a lot of titles on your list that I can share with my 13 y.o. son. Also, may I recommend Elinor Lipman to you? Her best are The Inn at Lake Divine and The Dearly Departed.
I didn't think Kafka on the Shore was all that gruesome, except for the part with Johnny Walker and the cats (that's a phrase you don't type much in life!). I really enjoyed it, though it was a definite trip!v I started an interest in books set in Japan for me. I'm trying to read Number9Dream now, but that's strange too. The narrator keeps going off on these fantasies and then back to him still sitting in a diner...
Hi WittyreaderLI, I did a search on Disney books and I'd like to invite you to join the Shelfari group I just started, Walt Disney World Fanatics, to talk about WDW and related books.
Hey there Witty! = DI thoroughly enjoyed What The Dead Know -- it is one of the very few mysteries I've read inthe past several years, because I've read so many that few held any surprises for me. ANd then what's the point, KWIM?I just finished Lippman's No Good Deeds yesterday, and it was pretty good too.Enjoy!
Was The Almost Moon really that bad? Disappointing! I'll give it a spin just to see, but the plot does sound a little...off. Happy holidays!
Hello! So I took a recommendation from your top ten and I have started reading An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England. So far, so good :) I like his writing style very much. Will let you know my final thoughts when I finish.
thanks! you too :)
Thanks for the request. You have some great reads on your shelf!
Hey there, I just finished reading the Arsonists Guide you recommended. I really enjoyed it. The author had a very dry sense of humor that made even arson seem funny.
Hey wittyreadeli, nice to meet you, do u mind to ad me in ur circle of friends? it will be nice to have u as a friend from a distanc.cheers.
Hey Witty reader, I'm a Witty writer, so that should work pretty well. Thanks for the invite!Norm
