    Good! I don't watch anime, so that's good. :)

I'll definitely have to check that out once I have the extra cash. Wish I would have actually tried it sooner.

I felt a little let down by House of M personally, but I agree on David's X-Factor. The past several issues have been shaky, and I hate the changes to Layla, but overall it's been a great story. Know what book I miss, though it's only a little X-related? Captain Britain and M13. It was pretty awesome for a while there.

lol Yea. I've read a good deal of what you have on your list and then some. I admit I haven't read much New Avengers and only a couple House of M trades. I'm more X-Men based as far as super hero-esque in Marvel comics. I haven't read Girls, though I have considered it.

So what are your favorite X-men arcs? I have fond spots for the original Lee-Claremont X-men (2nd Series) run, Age of Apocalypse (I was always a sucker for alternate reality stories), Claremont's God Loves, Man Kills, and then I really enjoyed Messiah Complex/Messiah War/Second Coming as I said. I've got nearly every issue of the main series since 2001, and then large chunks of New X-men into the 90's, and most of Uncanny X-men from the early 90's through current as well as chunks of 80's books, like the first few years worth of X-factor.

HA! Nice name and avatar. I assume you're current? I'm kinda sad that Messiah War is over, this whole three-story arc has been killer. Anyway, in case you're not already aware, I figured I'd drop these two links for you that I hope will be helpful for you in terms of getting in touch with artists and getting closer to making your own books.

DigitalWebbing is one of dozens of comic communities out there, but it's a nice size (not too big) and full of nice folks. If you don't already have a community/communities you're involved in, give it a try.

Also, my buddy Dirk Manning, writer of the web comic Nightmare World, currently being collected in print form by Shadowline/Image, writes a really good column over at Newsarama called Write or Wrong. I've read the first forty or so, and they're all full of great advice for how to approach writing comics in this day and age.
