Basically an island boy. I live in the city but I see it through his eyes. My best asset is my sobriety. I love a certain cat. If I had my druthers I would probably play the guitar all day a lot of days. Lately I've been reading comics. My wife is a librarian and a gardener and a great person. I love singing in my fabulous choir at my... more »

No T.V. Really? Who writes about the people who fall off the roofs? I recently met a man who fell from 30 ft. onto a ship deck. He was paralyzed from the waist down and was told he would never walk again. When I met him he was walking unassisted and his recovery happened only 7 months after Katrina!Talk about repairs! I met a living breathing miracle. Who needs T.V.?

    Hello Michael,
Your welcome. I could not see the "Post A Note" option on your Shelfari. The only choice listed was "Private Message." Now it has changed back to giving both options!?!! Presently I have been living my life as a status inconsistency, which includes not having a Facebook/T.V. What type of tech. do you write?

    Michael,
I hope you and yours are well and happy. We haven't communicated in quite a while, but I thought of you while reading yesterday.
I'm a third of the way through a novel that I think you might like. It's Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. The setting is Seattle and goes back and forth between the war years and 1986. During the war years section, the reader learns about the internment of Japanese Americans. It is mostly a people story containing enlightening historical aspects.

Thanks ! Any opinion on Joel Goldsmith or Lorraine Sinkler? We have books by both of them in our collection - well between our branches.

    I appreciate your help :)

I do have a question - I work for a public library and found a copy of The Seeker's Way by Dave Fleming, are there any other titles you would reccomend as must reads?

Thank you for your help !

Hey Michael, I heard on the radio today that Minneapolis and Seattle were tied for "Most Literate City" in the U.S. for 2008. Hurrah!
