Hi. To report someone, you can send an email here: feedback@shelfari.comGood luck!
Hi,Wecome to the Movie Lovers Group. Hope to see you as an active participant in the group; it's always great to hear from new voices. Just FYI, if your interested....last month's group movie was "The Pawnbroker" and this month's group movie is "The Lives of Others". If you've seen any one of them (or both) please feel free to post your comments. We also have a recurring thread "Movies You've Watched During the Month". Please feel free to post the movies you've seen on the small and big screen and your ratings. Have a wonderful day. Ann
Haha yea. I kinda like working in the library. It can get boring, but that's what the books are for. I really just enjoy working on a college campus. I hope to teach one day. Preferably English Lit or Intro to Psych.
Absolutely, I thought it was excellent. Anita Diamant did a great job researching and getting in with the historical bit of the time, even if the story itself is an expansion of a small blurb in the Bible. Great feminist lit.
It was the plan, but for a few minutes there, I just wasn't thinking! (You're obsession must have rubbed off slightly. I really wanted to take a look! hehe)
So, I went to check out the new Twilight group you found, then realized I can't look too close till I finish the last one! Oops! I'll take a look again after I'm done... ;-)
Yeah... I wasn't terribly impressed. I did read one already, and actually enjoyed it, though. It was a bit different style, though. It's called Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! and I have a review on my shelf and over on PBT as well if you wanted to take a look. It wasn't quite your traditional poetry, so it was o.k. in the end.
No worries! Thanks for letting me know!
Hi! Do you remember chain letters? I have a book chain letter and I was wondering if you would be interested. It would mean you would mail a book (one you've already read) to the person whose name and address are in the letter, then pass on the letter (and my mailing address) to 6 of your friends. If it all goes as planned, i should end up with 36 books, and once your friends have passed on their letters, you should end up with 36 books. What do you think? Let me know (and don't worry about it if you're not interested.) Be forewarned that you would be mailing a book to the US.
Thanks for checking out the trivia game. I really didn't think the TD question was that difficult. Maybe people just aren't checking the group? Anyway, hopefully my co-admin and I can continue the game once she returns!
Had to send you the link for the party thread on PBT: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/21541/discussions/66062/The-Admins-are-Gone-It-s-Time-to-Paaaarty-#585328
It's crazy! Have you been reading the LIO reviews thread? I did some reading while the election was on in the background tonight. Sigh...
Hey Nancy! Good to see you did a review for the England tag!
Oh, mine too lol. I think it's supposed to happen like that.
Hey Nancy, it's lovely to be acquainted with you in a more official capacity. How goes the reading?
Hello. :)
Hi GothTech, welcome to Play Book Tag! Our new tag for October: England. If you want to get or make some recommendations, check out the thread October tag: reading plans and suggestions! As an added incentive to read the monthly tag, we “raffle” off an Amazon gift card for every thousand posts we reach. One of the requirements to qualify though is you have to have read a book for the current months tag!We also organize larger games every couple of months or so. We are in the process of starting a new game, Lay It On! An overview of the rules can be found on the thread entitled Official Rules for Lay It On (October 1st challenge). Feel free to check out that thread and, if the game looks interesting, sign up! :)For answers to other commonly asked questions, search for the discussion entitled FAQ for new members. I have Interview with the Vampire on my shelf...it will be my first ann Rice book! If you have any questions about PBT please don't hesitate to ask me!See you on PBT!Happy reading, Nicole
Just so you know, the avatar for Play Book Tag will now change every month, depending on our tag, so if you're looking tonight, it's the one with the dragon. If you look tomorrow or anytime through October, it will be England-related. One you look at the PBT group, the Play Book Tag "shelf" has the bookshelf as the avatar underneath the Admins section if you wanted to take a look over there. In the group discussions, you have to check out the thread called "Announcing Lay It On". Hilarious!
I've heard of the series, and of the up coming movie, but I've never read it. Vampire theme, correct?
You're too funny! I think I will be able to at least read the first book for my game in October/November. Not sure if I'll get further than that, but hopefully I'll at least get the first one done!
