I hope you will take the time to view my YouTube book trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-t0K34iU6g. I am doing some research about potential characters to play the lead role in the upcoming movie. Hope you can help me out. As Ralph Eggleston Director/Production Designer of Pixar Animation Studios said,
"I LOVED the book! It's a missing, ENDLESSLY fascinating link to the history of Hollywood. Thank you for researching and writing it!! I hope it's been widely well received, as it deserves to be." Best wishes. Gaelyn

I came across your review on Razor's Edge, and totally agree. Read your other reviews too. What do you think about 'Never let me go', always wanted to read that.

ps. hard to believe that all you are reading currently is 'Design Patterns'

"On Chesil Beach" actually took me by surprise - the book gets better as you read. The author's ability to describe the sensitivities of the protogonists, esp. Florence is commendable!

u know thats a million dollar q!! I quite know what the reason is but am sure you would not agree. Yes, I did get a lot a chances to read Agatha, but I just couldnt get myself to 'cause after reading the entire Sherlock Holmes collections, I doubted if there was anything that could match this. Strangely, that is also the reason why I would pick up Agatha sometime:). With all due respect to the author, its my own narrow-mindedness thats holding me presently...but I shall pick her books sometime. Maybe u can help me get a start!!

I loved The World According To Garp because it's just full of eccentric people. I didn't view it as a guy's book at all because I was so involved with Irving's writing that it never occurred to me to view it that way. I keep meaning to reread Garp just to see if it still makes me laugh as hard or choke up as much as when I originally read it. I still do think, though, that it's one of the top ten best books I've ever read.

:)...the ending seemed quite normal for me. Atleast it started getting a bit predictable once the "mommsie's photo" in his cell emerged...or did I miss something?
