    Dear friend

I'm so after the book "red tent". unfortunately I couldn't find it in my country(Iran). so if you, by any chance, have the PDF format of this book, I would be thankful beyond the words, if you let me have it.

I only got it once. Thanks. I will definitely try one of her earlier books at some point. As for "Breathing Lessons", it will be meeting the used bookstore soon :)

Ah, tis true but I had no love for that book. Now the Moveable Feast that was a feast in deed. I did so enjoy that one.

Shucks, I looked through your bookshelf to try and find one we had in common so's I could leave a note. Needless to say my tastes are too plebeian to leave anything here but I just couldn't help myself. I guess my mind has begun to reject the dense literate books and I now go for simple entertainment, a chance to escape this all too serious world.

Read your review of Middlesex. Connected to your comments immediately. Just like many good books, movies, or even television programs, a certain level of commitment and energy from the reader/viewer becomes necessary to get what the writer/producer intends. For me, the reward is that much greater for the effort. I still can enjoy a light read, but must admit to becoming addicted to great writing. So much so, that I don't stick to books when the writing doesn't grab me. I tend to find authors I like and read them out for that reason. I'm interested to know if you read A Confederacy of Dunces and what you think of it. It is one of the few books I put down after reading three quarters of it. The main character was disgusting to me and finally I allowed myself to say "I don't like this" and set it down. Unusual for me when the writing was good and I was that far into it. Getting that far was a commitment and I guess I came to believe the payout was not going to be worth it.
