Hi Wendy J
from up the road in Milton keynes,
I see how much you enjoyed 'Before I go to Sleep' by S.J Watson. It's a great debut novel.
I also note that you like thrillers and books that read easily.
I’m searching for someone like you who appreciates the more original and interesting fiction that might be interested in trying out my novel trilogy "The DEAD LOOP". It is easy to read, emotive and a unique psychological thriller mystery about a man that dies every single day but has no idea why.
I’ve persuaded a random Shelfari reader to try it and they kindly wrote on Amazon US: ‘one of the most unique and original story plots that I have read in quite a long time. The description of the settings of the various lives/deaths of the main character are so well described and well written that I can vividly see them in my mind as I read along.’
Part 1 is free on Kindle every 18 days or so, or 77p normally.
Or it’s free all the time if you have Kindle Prime!
If it intrigues you at all and want to check it out, I would very much appreciate any feedback.
Thank you so much for responding!
Fortunately, Amazon has free applications for PC and Mac computers and lap tops, iPads, iPhones, Touch iPods and other smart phones. If you would be interested in reading the entire story, in an effort to introduce the book to London, and the rest of England, I will gladly send you a gift certificate to download the entire book.
It is very important for me to establish a readership in the UK, as most of the story takes place in modern and ancient England. If you are willing to give it a read, send me an email address and I will have Amazon send you the certificate with instructions as to how to download the book onto your device of choice.
This is a legitimate offer from me, the author, to you a potential new fan. It is my hope to have a 6 x 9 inch softback book available by fall of this year, however, I really need to gain some traction in the UK well before then.
Thank you for your valuable time and consideration! Looking forward to hearing from you soon. You can email me if you like: email@example.com
Hope you are well! Shelfari is a community for readers to connect with other readers and authors, to share and learn from each other.
May I begin by asking, "Have you ever been inspired by someone the world considered uninspiring?" If so, then how about a wild ride through history, myth, legend and lore? You will learn secrets of Westminster Abbey and Stonehenge in a story inspired by an amazing real person.
That's right, a real person, the most unlikely fellow to ever conceive in such an adventure. I would like very much to introduce you to this fine young man and why he had such a profound influence in my life.
My name is Otis Farmer, and I would like to invite you to take an exciting and enlightening journey in my new book, Merlyn And The Mortal's Curse, a fantasy novel where Merlyn is forced to travel to the present in order to save mankind. He must take a reluctant, modern lad back to pre-Camelot, where their action packed adventures take them around the world, through time and a dimensions. If the Shelfari link below is not active, then please copy and paste the link into your browser:
Below is a link to the book in the Kindle Bookstore so you can preview the story and read the Dedication to the person that inspired me. Once you are on the page, click on the "Click to Look Inside tab over the cover art and you will be able to read the Dedication and thirty or so pages free:
Thank you for your valuable time and consideration! I hope you will join Merlyn and Lance, and that you will enjoy your adventure with them.
That's because I took ALL the books on my shelves (the physical, wooden shelves) and entered them, even before I donated a bunch of them to a fund-raiser for the Ethical Society. Do you read much non-fiction? I tend to alternate between fiction and non-fiction.
Enjoy who you are, and it will bring out the best you can be. Enjoy what you're doing, and you'll create something of true, lasting value.
Enjoy where you are, and your eyes will be opened to the best of possibilities. Enjoy the moment you're in, and you'll discover a priceless treasure.
It is not selfish to enjoy yourself. What's truly selfish is to insist on being miserable despite all the positive possibilities available to you.
Enjoy yourself, and you become that much more able to create real value for others. Enjoy yourself, and you'll find yourself doing the things you are most ideally suited to do.
You are immensely blessed with the precious gift of life. It would be the height of arrogance if you failed to enjoy it to the fullest.
There are endless possibilities for enjoyment, whatever your circumstances may be. Enjoy, and be wonderfully alive.
-- Ralph Marston
Hey Wendy, I noticed that you have read Mark Billingham, Henning Mankell, Val Mc Dermid, and Ian Rankin. I just bought these authors and I was wondering how are they?? What did u think??? Are any of them gory? I like gruesome novels.. Also I have heard of Peter James from someone else. How do I get a hold of his books in the U.S. We do not have this author...
Hi Wendy, I'm Ema, also from the UK and I have just started up a group on Shelfari, but for UK members. I noticed how difficult it was to search for UK users on here and thought it would be pretty cool to have most of the UK members in one place :)
If you're interested the link is: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/49405/about
Hope to see you there xx
