I'm happily married with 3 grown up kids and work as a school administrator. My reading ranges from crime thrillers to chick lit to plain old fashioned romances, i.e. nothing that requires much concentration as reading tends to be done in bed just before I fall asleep! If I'm not reading I'm probably blogging at http://wendyj59.multiply.com/

You're getting through some pretty dense stuff though; I've tried the Hobbit and His Dark Materials countless times and had to give up, not to mention the Austen! :) Good luck! x

I know! I'm on a mission to read 100 this year! I'm on my 41st of this year so far. Reckon it'll have to slow down when I'm back at English uni! :) x

Oh, thank you. That is an older pic when he was 9 months old. He is now 2 and a half, but I adore that picture just as well. :)

    Wonderfully alive

Enjoy who you are, and it will bring out the best you can be. Enjoy what you're doing, and you'll create something of true, lasting value.
Enjoy where you are, and your eyes will be opened to the best of possibilities. Enjoy the moment you're in, and you'll discover a priceless treasure.

It is not selfish to enjoy yourself. What's truly selfish is to insist on being miserable despite all the positive possibilities available to you.

Enjoy yourself, and you become that much more able to create real value for others. Enjoy yourself, and you'll find yourself doing the things you are most ideally suited to do.

You are immensely blessed with the precious gift of life. It would be the height of arrogance if you failed to enjoy it to the fullest.

There are endless possibilities for enjoyment, whatever your circumstances may be. Enjoy, and be wonderfully alive.

Thanks Wendy, I look forward to starting these new authors. Now I just have to finish a Deaver novel than I will start these. I will also be looking into ordering on amazon. Heard Peter James was good.

Hey Wendy, I noticed that you have read Mark Billingham, Henning Mankell, Val Mc Dermid, and Ian Rankin. I just bought these authors and I was wondering how are they?? What did u think??? Are any of them gory? I like gruesome novels.. Also I have heard of Peter James from someone else. How do I get a hold of his books in the U.S. We do not have this author...

Hi Wendy, I'm Ema, also from the UK and I have just started up a group on Shelfari, but for UK members. I noticed how difficult it was to search for UK users on here and thought it would be pretty cool to have most of the UK members in one place :)
If you're interested the link is: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/49405/about

Hope to see you there xx

    Hi Wendy,
Just been looking at some of the books you have read lately.
What did you think of The Lovely Bones, this is Peter Jackson latest movie his has just sharted filming it, not sure if it is being done in NZ.
I can't imagine how they will film a book like this, can't say I enjoyed it.
    Happy reading
