“This is definitely worth a read but I did have trouble with the concept of being lucky or unlucky. Seems to be going on the basis that if anything good happens to you you're lucky and if bad things happen you're unlucky. I like to think I've got a bit more control over my life than that. However, having said that I think that the suggested 'techniques' are definitely worth a go and could be used to help you achieve more and develop a positive attitude. In fact they can be used to help you have more control over your life - so I guess I do agree with it in that sense, just not convinced about the luck thing.”

“Brilliant book. Funny and inspiring. Found myself laughing out loud (to the annoyance of my partner). It really helps you think about your attitude for things and see how you can change to achieve more.”

“A bit disappointing because I found it hard to apply to myself. I think the problem is that I'm not the target audience - if I was earning quite a bit of money, had a problem with credit card debt and was thinking about investing then this would be the book for me. But I'm not. What I wanted was tips on how to make our money go further but it didn't give me that. Bit bemused by the fact that the blurb says nothing about investing yet around a quarter of the book is about investing...

Having said that I stuck with the book and have learnt a lot, which maybe one day I'll be able to apply. I'm now much clearer on how credit cards work, what different types of mortgages do, and if I did have money to invest I'd have a good idea of how to go about it...”
