I truly enjoyed the way that Darcy and Elizabeth first meet in this book, it was different and very romantic in my opinion. All the characters are there, some appear more than often and there are new characters as well that add to the story. I was flabbergasted when Mr Bennett is so against the match that he needed to take matters into his own hands, that I had to stop reading...To me it just didn't fit into who I believed Mr Bennett was.

There were also other things that I found a little far fetched for the time period, but I am no expert so I will not complain about them.

But one thing I have to say is that it's hot. Darcy and Lizzy definitely have chemistry and they are not afraid to explore. And that's all I'm going to say.

Who would have thought that a ship full of senior citizens would be dangerous? Definitely not ER nurse Darcy Cavanaugh (I love her name!). She's on the ship for two things, relax and visit her good friend Marie who just happens to be one of the cruise ships nurses. But when a series of mishaps and the death of a crew member happen Darcy finds herself in the middle of things and she needs to find who the culprit is...And she's hopes that it's not the dance host, Luke, who just happens to resemble Matthew McConaughey.

I was actually surprised on how much I enjoyed reading this story, considering that the first couple of chapters were a bore. I'm glad that I kept with it. I found that the setting, especially the cruise ship with seniors was hilarious but considering the ending of the book I was floored when I found out who the mastermind behind the robberies and the death.

I liked Darcy, she was a fun and quirky character, although I found her self-esteem at times a little weak, but the little background that we get on her, I guess it was understandable. Luke was one of those characters that took me a while to warm up to, I wasn't too sure about him but I'm glad that he was redeemed at the end of the story.

Who would have thought that such a short book would bring such an emotional reaction to me? I was expecting it to be such, but never did I think I would be moved the way I was. I admit that it took me a few chapters to get into the story, and even getting used to the way the author writes (reminds me of Jose Saramago style), but once you get into the swing of things the story flows beautifully. It was not an easy read, you really need to pay attention to what going on, at times I had to re-read certain areas to really get the meaning of the symbolism.

I love that it doesn't have the gore but it has that excitement and the need to find out the who dunnit. And like any other series out there it has its ups and downs, some that you like more than others. But regardless on how much or how little I'll enjoy the book, I know that it will be entertaining.

And this one didn't disappoint. I enjoyed Harrison's skepticism, and his need to test Abby's gift, and I loved the way that Abby dealt with him. But Candice was the scene stealer of this book in my opinion. I love her no-nonsense attitude and her chemistry both with Abby and Harrison, and don't get me started on Harrison and Candice's banter...love it!

The mystery of the missing teens was interesting and a tad disturbing when you finally realized what it actually happening. I was completely surprised on who was the kidnapper/murderer was, but I was also saddened by the reasoning behind the crimes.

I am looking forward to the new book, I'm curious how the move to a different city will impact or chance the dynamics of the series. I guess it's only a matter of time, it's coming out later in the year.

And just all the other Eve Dallas books I inhaled this one. It was just one of those books you can cuddle with and lose yourself in. You have suspenseful adventure, with the added bonus of Roarke, and there's also the blossoming romance between McNab and Peabody. And we also see Eve struggle with her memories.

I was truly surprised with the who dunnit in this book and the author wrapped it all nicely and answered all my questions. You know the ones: Where the h*** did that come from? and Why? Why?... I will not share those answers with you, but it definitely had me on the edge of my seat and I cannot believe that an individual is that devious and has the ability to suck in people into his/her cause.

love this series, I can't seem to get enough. And I finally got my hands on the latest, Among the Mad, just in time - the next book in the series will be out next month. And once again I was swept into the 1930's along with Maisie Dobbs. And like the other books I couldn't put it down until I was done.

I found this book a little darker compared to the previous titles. But nevertheless it still was a true Maise Dobbs, full of mystery, intrigue and also a race to stop an emotionally disturbed person before he can hurt hundreds of people.

Even though the main story was interesting I found myself more curious on what was happening with the Beale's. I have always enjoyed Billy and since the start of the series his family life has been a constant in the books, and the depression that his wife is suffering hits home for me. I can not imagine what it would be like to lose a child, but as someone who has suffered from depression I can understand the helplessness, and the feeling that your life is swallowing you whole.

And on a lighter note, we finally see Maisie shedding some of darkness and embracing her life. She takes on a hobby, I believe in the last novel she was learning how to dye (or was it weave?) in this book she takes in a different interest...she's slowly getting back to her life. I wonder what will happen next? Maybe a romance? I wonder who it could be...I have an idea but... 4.5/5

I have mixed feelings about this story. Although I enjoyed the characters, the setting and I loved the marine biology take, I couldn't really get into the story itself, and by the time the "re-telling of P&P" through the hero's book came along it turned me off. The story itself was doing fine and that came about and I had to put the book down. Yep, I stopped reading it. Not completely, I came back to it after I read something else (which is coming soon! My thoughts that is...). And I'm sad to say that it didn't warm up for me after my break. I hate when that happens...The potential was so great and fell short. Argh!

If you search the reviews on Amazon about this book you'll find that it runs either hot or cold. Either you love it, or you dislike it, there's even one that calls this book blasphemous. And who can resist reading a book that is considered blasphemous? Ok, I'm making light of someone's opinion, but you're reading a fictionalized account of the first woman, and the main point is: it's fiction. There's no way for us to really know what happen then, but speculating cannot hurt any in my opinion.

It's not only Eve's voice in this narrative, you have the added perspective of her daughters. The beautiful Naava, the nurturing Aya and the inquisitive Dara. Each one of them brings light onto what actually triggered Cain and Abel's final fatal disagreement and how each of them were directly and indirectly involved in it.

I loved the way the author was able to bring out the characters emotions, the wonder, the confusion, the delight, the anger and the fear, were so believable and so tangible that it felt that I was right there experiencing them along with the women.

I found the novel very poetic and I'm seriously considering buying a copy for my shelves. I enjoyed it that much. 4.5/5

Grace has a perfect boyfriend, too bad it's all her imagination. Mind you, she was desperate, she was tired of the sad and worried looks she was getting from her family. And it doesn't help that her ex-fiancee is dating her perfect younger sister. What's a girl to do? But when she gets to know her new neighbor better, Cal a sexy an ex-con with a heart of gold, she may re-think the whole made-up boyfriend thing.

I devoured this book in one afternoon. It was a fast paced, quirky and funny read. I love the sister's relationship, and found her parents hilarious, and I got a kick out of her grandmother. But I have to say that Grace is the star of this book, a high school history teacher, who loves all thing Civil War, she reenacts battles for fun, loves her parents and sisters, and volunteers her time at an old age home where she dances and reads to the elderly. Cal isn't too shabby either...A talented carpenter that got into a scrape with the law because he cared too much, I won't get into the reason here, you'll have to read the book. I thought they were great together, had great chemistry, I only wished that there was more in the book.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Although I found it to be fast paced, the premise of the mystery/intrigue interesting, the characters likable enough. I found that the book fell short of my expectations. Something was missing...or maybe it was that I thought Reggie was full of himself and a control freak. There's only so many times you can see Reggie trying to save his brother from himself, and then finding more intrigue and danger, it felt like a vicious cycle...Argh!
