I've decided to read Tropic Of Cancer (Henry Miller) by your review :P I just finished Last Exit To Brooklyn... Crazy hard to read lol
I see you're on a Henry Miller run. I'm fond of "The Air Conditioned Nightmare." It's a rant on American culture during the 40s.
you doing the bookswap in the Brilliant Babes group?

I like both Brautigan's prose and poetry. I think "The Pill Vs. The Springfield Mine Disaster" is a fun exploration of eastern philosophy in a western world. Have you read "The Tokyo Montana Express"? It's one of my favorites. Read "What to do with 395 photos of Christmas Trees." I think it relates well to our post-9/11 world. So what do like about Hesse? Ever seen the 70s movie version of "The Steppenwolf"? Which character, Narcissus or Goldmoon, do you relate to? I view myself as a Goldmoon -- passive, contemplative, philosophic -- though I wish I were more like Narcissus.
I love your shelf. I'm a huge Brautigan fan. Did you know he went to South? Of course you do. What is your favorite aspect of Cavalier and Clay? And can you stand another friend from Eugene?
One Hunderd Years of solitude: "the lushest" hehe, great description!!!!! :)
