Here's where I found out you went to IU: In NNBR in the thread Screename Meaning you wrote, " I had a very good friend in college at Indiana U whose name is Paige Cover - I never let her live it down!!!" as a comment to Paige Turner's screen name.
Hi, I don't remember where I read something on Shelfari to make me ask you if you went to IU. I was born and raised in northern IN and went to IU to get my bachelor's degree. Then, I moved to MD where I have lived ever since. Do you remember mentioning something about IU on Shelfari?
Viv,
I just saw this post (from 3 WEEKS ago!) on the hobbies thread
"I'm happy to report that my family enjoys your cooking too! I still make some of the same stuff you showed me in college!"
I was thinking about that a few weeks ago when I made crepes. Mmmmm, remember those with Amaretto? = D
You were the first person to show me how to make crepes!
I hear you -- thatk God there are libraries or we'd be broke while the kids' rooms were wall to wall books. = )
This book is uber-cool though (well, to a book lover, anyway)-- it's funny, interesting and not instruction-manual like at all. There are lists and lists of books on every subject -- sports, fairy tales, YANewberry and Caldecott winners, money/business, recycling and tons of others.. PLUS it has tons of ideas for connecting kids with reading ousid eof actual books -- games and activities to learn more about the subject, etc.
Check out codell's web site at www.planetesme.com She also has a cool "Book a Day Blog, which I'm really enjoying.
Damn, girl, where's yer books?
Good to see ya here, chickie! =)
