All these web groups are very seductive---people send you invitations to join and they all look interesting, and before you know it you're spending a lot of time updating them!
But, I do love books and reading, so this will bea fun one to get involved with.

I started to read this book before the US presidential race began, but didn't finish it as I forgot to take it with me when we were out of the country. Now, it seems especially timely. Obama writes well and it's really good to read about his quest to find out about his African family. We are originally from Africa too (Zimbabwe and South Africa) so the descriptions about Africa (Kenya) really resonate for us. We now live in Illinois, and we feel very proud that he is one of the senators here.

A wonderful resource book. Ted Libby really knows his stuff and writes in an entertaining way, about anything and everything to do with classical music. Find out about composers, musicians, pieces of music, instruments. For me, a great way to extend my love of classical music.

I'm really enjoying this book, as the authors have delved deep into what makes the French people 'tick'. A lot of what they say we can totally agree with---living here in Paris now for a few months, we can see that the French character/point of view is a real paradox.
I'd be interested to see what other people think.

An interesting read---a fictionalized story based on a real event. Just the week that I read this, a new report came out about the real person in the actual event, so quite a co-incidence!

A fun read and quite exciting, but rather negative to Darwin.
