I have been an avid reader since I was 5 and read just about anything I can get my hands on. I grew up with Stephen King and Dean Koontz and read anything they put out. I helped to broaden my horizons with Stephen King's On Writing, which lists a ton of books he read in an appendix on the back. I have read just about every book on that list and it has led me to many new books and authors I otherwise would not have read. Favorite authors: Koontz, King, Paulo Coehlo, John Irving, Dennis Lehane, Larry McMurtry, Barabara Kingsolver, Elizabeth George, T.C. Boyle, Dan Brown, Richard Price, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Michael Pollan, Marcus du Sautoy, Nelson Demille, Carlos Castaneda, Salman Rushdie, Peter Blauner, W. Somerset Maughm, Vikram Seth, J.K. Rowling to name a few.
