Umm, yeah...I never can think of anything informative or quirky to say about myself, but I'll try. I don't like the spotlight, I'm more of a wallflower. I would be perfectly content to just blend into my surroundings, with a good book in hand, of course. I have few friends that I hold close and a wonderful husband, whom I feel is my true life's...more »

I'm so pleased you enjoyed "The Road". It seems to be one of those either-love-it-or-hate-it books. I only ordered the Vonnegut book a week ago and am still waiting for it to arrive. You are WAY ahead of me! I am looking forward to reading it, and will let you know when I have some first impressions...

I will tackle the Vonnegut. I tried to read some of his books before and couldn't get through it, but he's one writer I think I really need to try again. "Breakfast of Champions" it is!

OK girl, I've got a few recommends for ya. Seems as though you enjoy books that have a social edge to them - futuristic, fantastical, dystopic, mystical. If you haven't read them, I think you would love: 1) The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, 2) The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, or 3) The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Whaddya think?

Hey Apple :) Let me take a little look-see at your shelf, and I will have a book recommend for you shortly. What has been kind of cool in the past with my partners is selecting 2 or 3 books I think you might like and having you choose which one you want to read. Sound like a plan? ;)

I was trying to remember if Ebelhar was in my class... and... I should be able to but I can't! I can't even remember who I did my lab work with! ack!

Isn't it great we're having two simultaneous convos on two different sites? :D Also, if you want, the BBD is getting ready to do their July project--a 'book swap' (no physical swapping involved). It's a great way to dive into the group, which is full of pretty fun peeps. Rob is my friend from way back, from when I was 17 :D

Did we have the forensics class together? I remember taking that.. I don't remember if Ebelhar was in that class tho. That was such a fun class.

I don't remember Luke Wilson.. :\ like at all, haha.

    Wooooo Birthday!!!

I remember exactly two people in my class, Kyle Reynolds and Ryan Eberhart(sp?). Cos they sat near me. haha. I think Misty (I forget her name--always wanted to be preppy but never quite made it) was probably there, I don't really even know who else... I slept through that class, despite sitting in the front row, and Mrs. St John was actually CONCERNED about me rather than angry--probably because I did so well in her class, she thought I had mono :D

Were we in the same Anatomy and Physiology class? It's so, so sad that I can't remember...

OH!!! Oh, oh oh. We are moving to Columbus (hopefully) in a couple of months. On the way, we plan on stopping in the big O and seeing (for Bobby, meeting!) the family! I WANT TO SEE YOU WHILE I'M THERE!!!! Let me know if you have anything big planned in August so I can try to schedule around it.. :)

I liked it quite a lot. I only didn't read one of the essays, about going to the medical examiner--ever since I was in Mrs. St. John's anatomy class, and we went to see the cadaver, I get a little weird about that stuff. I was fine actually SEEING it, but it was awhile before I could eat certain kinds of meat :\ I have a big squeamishness about cannibalism.... heh.
