I do research at the university. So I have to read a lot of books, literature of a different kind. It's great that you still haven't lost your passion for literature. Any plans of becoming a teacher again?
i dont think i can complete it too but i try to read as much of the list as i can. i see you're a lit major .. that's cool! i too wanted to take up lit in college. so what do you do for work?
I don't have a literary background and only read books during whatever free time I can get. It's interesting to know how 'studying' a book can make reading it more enjoyable. Since you are literature major, can I assume you work where you can read a lot of books? Like a book reviewer for a magazine...
That explains your shelf. How does/did it feel reading a book as a study (say to review it or write a paper on it) and for fun? What are you reading now?
You have an impressive collection there. Noticed that most of them were literature stuff and not easy fiction. Is reading books part of your work/study?
i love stories depicting chinese culture. i see you have the 1001 book must read, are you trying to complete the list? am trying to go about it myself. i see you love the classics. i enjoy them too although they can be a hard read ;)
what's the story like?
hi! what are you reading now?
amazin amount of books red, impressive, how i wish i have so much time or better plannin of time
Actually it's now very easy to get a copy of the Satanic Verses. I got mine before the proliferation of the internet. I saw a copy at City Lights bookshop last year in San Francisco but that's quite a commute :-) It can be ordered either from there or Amazon.
Rosencrantz..... I saw the play when it was performed here many many moons ago. It was a walking tour at the Wold Trade Center before it was renovated. The audience had to walk with the performers... Anyway you have superb taste in literature.
Hi Vicki
I like some of your book choices, Paul
