    I've read all of Clavell's books. I love historical fiction and the rich background it brings to the story. Shogun and Noble House were actually mini-series on TV years ago. Shogun is so long (1100 pages) that I enjoyed picking it up each day to see what happen to the characters that day. His books are wonderful.

    I would recommed Shogun if you enjoy historical novels it brings you in Japan and it gives great insight into the culture of the samauri
