V's shelf

V's shelf

I enjoy unique graphic novels, crime, children's books, some sci-fi, fiction, non-fiction, biographies (though I don't always finish them), magazines with great content or design (i.e Seed). These days I read a book or 2 a month - depending on the length. Busy parent syndrome. I do illustration and love thoughtful, clever, high-quality illustrations.

Me, too! I love my name. My mom is originally from Germany, and no one in the states can pronounce her name correctly (Gisela: Geese-a-la), so she gave my siblings and I names that translate easily to many languages.
Hmmm...I'm definitely not up on my Redgrave biographies, but I would guess that your middle name is either Lynn or Corin.... Am I even close?

My Sister's Keeper is Jodi Picoult's best one. Actually, John has it now since it is a required reading for 10th grade. Another Change of Heart was great and I have a friend borrowing that one but when she is done I can send it along the way.

Thanks for joining the Suspense & Thrillers group! Love having new members. Though it might be on page 4 of the discussions, there is a spot for introductions as well as members who’d like updates, so jump in at any time.

Also know there are like 7 or more pages of discussions. When you go to the group’s home page, click on “view all discussions” From there, scroll down and you’ll see 1 of 7. Click on the next page to view the remaining posts. Please feel free to add a comment or two. We’d love to hear what you think.

On June 1st, we began a discussion of A WICKED SNOW led by Gregg Olsen. If you can get a copy of his book, come join us.

We also have “The Newton Prophecies” led by Keith Katsikas, the author, scheduled for the 15th of June.

More future discussions are listed on the group’s home page.

We also have something new. It’s a Suspense & Thriller Challenge. More can be found on the group or at http://suspense-thriller-challenge.blogspot.com/ We even have a Yahoo Group for this at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/suspense-thriller-challenge/

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Hey V, I haven't read "The Girl With The Crooked Nose" yet but it's on my "I plan to read" list. It looks really interesting!

Thanks for the invitation to your group. I think I would like to read it first before I decide to join. I checked the library and they do not have it.
