I really enjoyed Grimus, even moreso than Shalimar the Clown. It's a bit strange, but it was one of my favorites. I've also read the Satanic Verses, and that was also very good.

    Hi, again, Varinder.
I hope you don't mind if I ask a question. I've noticed a lot of readers from Asia (forgive me if that is a mistaken assumption) seem to like my work.
I'm surprised, delighted, and wonder if there is anything in particular about alien romances that appeals?
If so, I should try to promote on Indian media outlets!

    Best wishes,
    Rowena

I've read it, yes. As for my thoughts on it, I wasn't as impressed with it as his other books, but it was still a good read. A bit slow at times, and often confusing, because it will jump from time and place and person. But, with that said, the ending was great, and I believe I let out a little yelp of joy when I finished it.

I love a lot of different genres but I think I enjoy the classics mostly. I've been reading quite a few American classics from Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Faulkner, though I have also enjoyed some new titles recently too.

I haven't read Shalimar yet. Have you? What are your thoughts about it?
