Vanity

Vanity

I find books the best means to escape the real world. No wonder I like fiction. when nothing is working as i want i just get a book and go deep into it.

We are friends on shelfari for last two years. Dont you think that it is time for us to meet each other? Or, is the real world still that scary?

    Hi,

I should have left a note for you. I read that book in 2004, it was only when you posted it up did I recall it and I had liked it quite a bit actually. Something about the simplicity of the language got to me. Right now I am exploring science fiction. In the decades of reading I have only now picked up this genre. Well apart from the Douglas Adams. :)
What are you reading these days?

Hi Vanity, I think your bookshelf is starving. I suggest you do some more reading. why not try 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne. Its a scorcher. Tell e after you've read it, how it appeals. then I'll tell you more! Chris

Books are delightful society. If you go into a room and find it full of books - even without taking them from the shelves they seem to speak to you, to bid you welcome.

Lord! when you sell a man a book you don't sell just twelve ounces of paper and ink and glue - you sell him a whole new life. Love and friendship and humour and ships at sea by night - there's all heaven and earth in a book, a real book.

Let books be your dining table,
