Cathy B

Cathy B

I recently inventoried my books and have decided I won't buy any in the near future. I own too many that I intend to read.
The picture was given to me by a third-grader on the same day I started working on memorizing Ephesians 6:13-18 (... put on the full armor of God)

I actually have more books cataloged at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/nilegomez

Once I'm done entering my books there, I'll import them to Shelfari. While I like the look and social aspects of Shelfari better, I really like the way I am able to organize my books by Library of Congress card catalog number there.

I'm glad you enjoyed my Holy Spirit comments and that they made sense to you. I'm pulling out of that book discussion...it's getting nasty.

I highly recommend you read "The Introvert Advantage", if only so you can see that introversion isn't a curse. :) It's hard to see it any other way in this society, but outties would burn themselves out without us innies for balance!

Hi Cathy. Amazing. We do have a lot of books in common. It is about 20% for me. It is great to see someone else with similar interests. In browsing your shelf, I see several others that I would like to add to my reading list. I look forward to seeing what else you add.

I wouldn't say we don't have any books in common. I just haven't posted everything I've read. As far as Foster and Willard are concerned, I appreciate their writing, but I haven't managed to muddle my way through anything yet...

I have just found out from another book group that many Christians oppose contemplative prayer, they believe it is misguided Christians letting eastern religion meditation seap into our churches. One web site is against Beth Moore, Richard Foster and others. Crazy!

    Hi, Cathy B!
Yes, Richard J. Foster is another "mentor" author of mine, whose work I find myself returning to again and again. I just have't added my who,e bookshelf yet...but there's A LOT of Renovare!

    Anyway, God bless...nice meeting you.

    Hi,
Yeah, I like the books in common feature, too - it is relatively new. With a quick glance at your first shelf (Shelfari is soooo slooooow at the moment, so that is far as I made it) I see we have even more in common that I haven't gotten on my shelves yet :'). I'm really enjoying the discussions in Spiritual Formation!
