Thank you. I spend too much time on internet as it is. Word games are something else.

I have read some faulkner--he is not my favorite. I guess I hadn't realized I missed him; I don't have copies of his stuff. I guess I don't even remember some what I did ready. Mostly I think Eudora Wellty I've read short stories but I'll have to pick my brain on that too. I have read Flannery O'Connor. Like I said, I do like Edgerton. I was introduced to souther writers in grad school when I went in the south.

Never heard of it and Brandon is actually a little far from me, it takes about 25-30 mins to get there because of traffic but I will look into it.

    Hi there 'Up'!
Just a quick note to wish you and yours a great Christmas season.. My daughter is an Anglican Priest in Northern Ontario and I was thinking of you the last time I was in her kitchen. She had a fridge magnet that said. 'Being an athieist is no fun..they miss out on all the Holidays'.....I am sure you won't !!! I made you all some cookies but they wouldn't fit in the scanner!. :)
    Very best wishes . Jay

I think we're ready to post the Lady Susan/ Sanditon thread for the Jane Austen deal in BTS... to run December and January. I don't know if HH is keeping up with all that stuff anymore, so I thought I'd slip you a note.

That's nice, thanks, but it's everything but perfect.
Let's put it that way : It's enough to have basic conversations with people but I screw (big time!) when it comes to figure out complicated stuff ;)

Gosh, don't ever think I would mind you suggesting good books to me. I don't mind at all, I rather really appreciate new suggestions, because I'm always in the hunt for new author's and remarkable books. So, thank you very much :)
There's unfortunately one criterion to be fulfilled before I buy or read an english book: It needs to be available in german. My english is not too well and I'm afraid not to get it's entire story/meaning if I only read the english version, so I mostly read the german one right afterwards, you know?

But well, I took the liberty to check on those books you suggested ;) and Günter Grass' "the tin drum" (well, of course, he _is_ a german author), William Faulkner's "Light in August" and Kafka's "The trial" are all definitely available in german.
I plan on daring a 25 books challenge in 2010, there's still some space on the list of my "future plan - books" and I'll surely take your suggestions to heart.

Thanks again and have a good sunday^^

While I can't argue with your TKAM comment, considering that the entire story was told through the eyes of the child, I thought it made for a great ending.
