These things I mention are apart of me and things that I enjoy. Each one brings out a piece of me all different.

The picture is me sitting in front of Billy the Kid's grave site. That was an amazing trip my husband and I took. They had to put a cage around his grave, because his headstone had been stolen so many...more »

I did not even know this was a childrens book. Hamchuck bought it and I read it, it was next on the nightstand. I loved it, I was so into the dymanics of this. It was so visual for me. It is true you see it from a different perspective.

I enjoyed this book. At first I was not sure where it was going, but hung on and he takes you on a ride. The situation with his Mother was well written, the relationship with parent changes in life and depending what your relationship was in the first place, when they reach a place where the chapter is closing and the desire to repair is impossible is strong. He walked through that well. Along with other passages. Well thought out, wirtten well.

I just finished this book. My thoughts are he did a lot of research, which I appreicate, he tells a good story, which I appricate but, for some reason it just did not grab me. It wasn't his fault, it just did not grab me. He does write well.

My husband read it first and he did not read it cover to cover. So I picked it up and read it, but unlike him I continued on to all the stories, some were good and some okay. But I enjoyed the book, after I finished I said to my husband, you did yourself a disservice by not finishing the stories. He went back and is glad he did.

I do not know how I feel about this made into a movie, so many times I am disapointed. Will Smith that is another I am not so sure. But Ann Rice's movie Interview with a Vampire Lesdat, I did not picture Tom Cruise and I thought he did a great job, so who know.

I agree with Pescidelto getting into the head of a person who is totally alone, was interesting. I loved the scence with the dog. I love a book you can take the journey with them. Its a thumbs up for me.

We all have been taught the Secret, we just lose our way. The truth anything that can put us on a road that leads us to an answer we alread know and have forgotten, can not be all bad. The search never stops, it is like looking for the ultimate answer to losing weight, we will never stop. Like the secret we know the answer, we need someone to tell us and show us proof. For a little while we believe and then start all over looking for the answer.

There are scenes in this book that scare you into the reality of how humans are capable of animalistic behavior. What is it that makes some resort to animal instincts while other retain their humanity? The father fights on until his last breath and I being human was looking for a happier ending.
    Well done.

I guess the concept was neat and must have been tremendous for the author to write. Because of that it kept me reading and I engaged in the puzzle. I was expecting to love this book. I did not love it, I liked it and respected the writer. I would love to know what happens to the little girl.

I don't have clever words to say about this book. I enjoyed the journey of the Yellow Brick Road from the eyes of the Lady in Green. The author (Gregory Maguire) brings the characters to life and gives the Lady in Green a voice.

I bought this for my husband. We love to visit history in the United States. We have visited many outlaw grave sites and my picture shows me sitting in front of Billy the kids site. That actually was emotional. We have not yet visited the civil war sites but look forward to that day.

My husband is reading this at the moment and when it frist started he said, it is going so slow, I told him wait. He now is loving it. It is a fun look into the civil war and a man and a woman and decisions they make. I loved the interaction between them and the people they are involved with. It will take you to the front lines, her strenghs and determination.

    Good read
