Okay. We both love mysteries. It's a start. I might check out the series sometime.
Sure. What kind of books do you like to read or favorite authors?
Okay. Maybe we have other authors in common. Thanks. I thought you did.
So not a silly question, unfinished! Our group does a lot of things differently than others, and although I try to make it as clear as I can, the limitations of the Shelfari groups software makes it difficult. For example, there's no way to have a link off to the side that would be entitled "Everything a New Play Book Tag Member Needs to Know" - - which could tell everyone about all of our little quirks! So I'm very glad you asked so you can participate more fully! I just feel bad for all the other folks who don't ask . . .but who might enjoy the group more if they did!
Hi! Great question about the shelf. We do our shelf a bit differently than other groups. Our shelf for Play Book Tag is located at:http://www.shelfari.com/playbooktag/shelfEssentially, we have a phony administrator named "Play Book Tag" - - and we use its shelf to store all of our books. This allows us to tag them all and rate them all - - much more useful than the group shelf. We tag all of our books with fantasy, historical fiction, or whatever applies AND with the name of the person (or people) in our group who has read it.I'm so thrilled to hear you are reading with us. If you post your read at Play Book Tag and how many stars you'd like to assign it, we'll place it on our collective shelf for you.Our shelf is good for browsing too - - tons of excellent reads up there!! Hope this helps :). Please let me know if you need more direction.best, Anita
Thank you for responding about "Man and His Symbols," I am going to read it!
Hi Unfinished! I'm the moderator for Play Book Tag, and I just wanted to welcome you and thank you for joining. You've got a fabulous and eclectic shelf so I can see you'll be a wonderful addition to our group. And anyone who has The Fountainhead as one of their favorites is already a friend of mine. I'm a fan! We'll be picking a new tag pretty soon; it will be announced on March 31st - - so hopefully you can read along with us in April. But until then, please feel free to chime in on the discussions. We're discussing Young Adult stuff and would love to hear from you as I see you've definitely read in that genre. Anita
Hi Unfinished (interesting name): I am planning to read 'Arabian Nights'. I love the main character, Queen Scheherazade, a smart womyn who convinced the King Shahryar to spare her life after sharing stories with him for 1001 nights. Then there is the book, 'Ramayana'. My mother says the book is a source of good luck to those Indians who read it, whether in original language or translation. I as a Hindu American girl will plan to read the English version. I only can speak and listen to Hindi, not read and write it. Well take care!
You've been a busy shelfari beaver!
I think I'm going to rip off your photo idea, and take a photo of my wall unit, which is covered in an assortment of books, mags, candles, and dust collectors.
I love the new photo!
Hi Bryan, Hope you're doing well! Joe
