Hello, Joann. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times, but you will see him as never before. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. Have you ever wondered what is was like to live in those times? What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including a link to copy and paste. Let me know what you think.
I hope things are going better for your family. How are you doing? Never feel badly about a slow response...man alive...sometimes I take forever.
All three of my sons and families were here for Christmas week and we had a wonderful Christmas. I know it is one I will treasure. Some Christmases are not as joyful as others so it makes the ones that are that much more precious.
I am praying for you. Let me know how you are.
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the death of your mother-in-law...I am sure you did not have the best Thanksgiving :( . As you slowly move forward from your family's tragic loss, you must remember to take care of yourself! I lost a very good friend suddenly and unexpectedly two years ago on December 1, 2006 and I have still not recovered completely. I DID read a few books on grief and recovery, and while that seemed to help, it still did not dull the shock and pain. The best advice I have for you is to not expect too much of yourself for awhile. And let out your emotions when you feel the need! You will be in my thoughts and prayers during this holiday season, Joann. I wish you peace.
Happy Friday, Joann! It was nice to hear from you...no worries about multiple messages! :) Thanks for the recommendations and your comments...I will definitely read Mistaken Identity. I will let you know how many Kleenex boxes I go through after reading it! Have a great weekend!
Thanks for accepting my friendship request! Wow, you really ARE a reading machine! :) I see many books on your shelves that I would love to add to mine! I saw that you read the latest Dave Pelzer book (the author of A Child Called It)....was it depressing, or uplifting, or ....? I had to put down a couple of his books at times, because they were so heartbreaking.
Have a great day - happy reading!
