I have loved books since I was a child. Learning to read unlocked the doors to different worlds, ideas, and helped me escape the chaos of everyday life.

I have loved books since I was a child. Learning to read unlocked the doors to different worlds, ideas, and helped me escape the chaos of everyday life.

I would like to meet other book-lovers. I love animals, plants, cooking (and eating!), music, and the environment.

Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were hopeless bibliophiles so we shelfarians are in good company.

I have eclectic tastes in books. I am an anglophile so I have read a lot of Jane Austen, Graham Greene, Thomas Hardy, P. D. James, James Mortimer, A. Conan Doyle, James Herriot...I have not read much contemporary fiction but I'm working on it!
I read certain kinds of "chick lit" because they are funny and have happy endings.

Movies are one of my hobbies. I like reading plays and screenplays. « less
