I m a 40 year old mother of two beautiful girls, ages 23 and 18, and one physically challanged mini dachshund named Limp Bizkit. I m married to my best friend and confidant. I guess you could say my interests are a bit varied and eclectic in nature. Naturally, I love to read and I do so voraciously. I cannot go a single night without reading at... more »

Thanks for the review on The Magician's Guild; I'm definitely going to check it out! I've been trying to be extra careful lately when it comes to recommending books to my students. I got a top 10 list of books for reluctant readers from an author/teacher of middle schoolers. I suggested one of the books to a student without reading it first. Ummm...yeah...YA, but it was questionable in the appropriateness. I do not/would not have a problem with my daughter reading the book. I'm very open-minded. However, my students' parents might not be. I try to avoid trouble at all costs...too much drama, and I'd rather be reading!

Hi Angela! How do you like The Magicians' Guild so far? Is it a YA novel? I can't be sure by the description. I'm going to BN this weekend, and if it's any good or better yet, school appropriate (LOL!) then I'd like to pick up a copy for my classroom library.

LOL!! I'll make sure to keep you on your toes about the reviews!
It sounds like I'll love the book...I love both autobiographies and Ozzy!! I'll have to try to track this down.

Hey Angela, Mary here. I just, rather late I know, decided to run over to Goodreads. I had started at Library Thing and a couple others but, in the end, nested here. But now, at Goodreads, I don't know anyone. I'm all alone. : (. Will you be my friend? : )

I think you're a fantastic reviewer! I want to know what someone likes and doesn't like rather than a writers style. I'll be stalking your reviews!!

Hi Angela! Thanks for virtually whapping my brother on the head!! I've decided to "follow" you in case I need any more backup. :D I hope that's alright...I've been looking at your shelf, and can't wait to read some of the novels you've read.

Oh, good. I wanted to check because I'm going through the same thing myself(x-rays this weekend) and was curious if she's been looked at for TMJ. If a misallignment is effecting her jaw, it can cause severe migraines and chronic pain. Or maybe you can have her checked for cervical spondylosis which is neck arthritis basically, and that causes tension and cluster headaches as well as chronic migraines because of the ligaments rubbing against each other in the spine and a slight curving angle of it.. There's a lot of ways for those to be treated and I was just curious if she's been tested for that. Because hopefully it's just something treatable rather than anything too serious.
Anyway, prayers are with her and I hope she gets better.

Hey TwistedMind - just a reminder that one of the main rules of the *Urban Fantasy*Paranormal Romance Group* is that all discussions be created by an admin. I have therefore deleted your post, but if you could please just re-post it under the "Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance Lovers" or the "Shopaholics Bookaholics" discussions, that would be great!

    Thanks,

I'm sure that everyone would want to know how she's doing.=) I've been keeping her in my prayers. Well, I hope that the medicine he gave her works. A friend of mine was going through a health problem a about two years ago where she'd have nerve pain. She started out having stomach issues and they put her under to run tests and basically it triggered this nerve disorder that she has. It was really bad before they could figure out what it was and she was in a lot of pain, but once they figured out what it was, they put her on medicine which made a world of difference. I'm pretty sure it was her local physician that recommended her pain being this certain nerve disorder and he ended up being right. She was in a children's hospital for a time and they just thought she was crazy. So I don't think that you're a nervous nelly. It's not normal for someone to be hurting all the time. Hopefully this Doctor is right and the medicine will help. I don't think it would hurt, though, to look her symptom's up on WebMD or something to see if it compares to anything.

Wow, we don't have much in common, at least in favorites. But I can see several I'd like to try reading. I've become a very slow reader of late. Just busy and then on shelfari a lot :P

How's your daughter? Did you get the MRI results back yet?

Ah yes, my need to read is always there! My problem is I volunteer at a library and go through the sell rack everytime I'm there (paperbacks $.10, hardcovers $.25) plus, I just bought a Kindle so I can read all the classics I either haven't read or haven't read in a long time! Love me some reading!
