Reading is like food and water to me. I can't exist without reading. My profession is writing, so I devour books and read them quickly, immersing myself in the stories that are worth sharing. There is nothing quite like the first page of a new unread book. The creaking of the binding as you open to the first page. The smooth unmarred paper lined with words that will guide you on a magical tale. The first page of a book, any book, is infinite in its hope. That book can take you anywhere. Anytime. Anyplace. It can make you fall in love or scream out loud. A book is infinite possibilities in the palm of your hand. There is nothing like a book.
