Hello,Well I read Swami and Friends probably when I was 12 yrs old,and enjoyed the book.It was so much fun reading about the typical Indian village(or should I say town)boy,who loves cricket and detests school and strict teachers...If u enjoy R.K.s books, then no harm reading the book and reminiscing mischievous childhood days again:-)
